ABOUT US

First Kaska is the economic development corporation of the Liard First Nation. Located in Watson Lake, Yukon, First Kaska provides a range of construction, transportation and energy services to the public and private sector. Its mandate is to stimulate and sustain the local economy, provide jobs and training to Liard First Nations members, and encourage local investment in Watson Lake.

First Kaska currently operates seven divisions. Its recent purchase of the assets of Heartland Timber Homes has opened up a new line of business under the Construction portfolio. In 2022, First Kaska will construct 15 timber homes for Liard First Nation. In 2023, it will be ready to build and deliver timber homes to new First Nations customers across Canada.
